FUTURISTAS was founded and is run by women working at the forefront of digital technology, STEAM and innovation. We bring decades worth of experience within the private sector, academia, government and the United Nations system working on policy, applications, and education, both globally and domestically. We have run related programs for girls, young women and entrepreneurs.
Founder and Director
Jennifer has worked in the United Nations system on STEAM and Innovation for 20 years with a focus on youth, girls and women, governance and economic development. She has established and grew science, technology and innovation portfolios in several UN organizations, most recently at UN Women. As science, tech and innovation are key tools in meeting our globally agreed Sustainable Development Goals, she has driven this agenda in policy and programming arenas and from global to local levels. She has been committed to engaging youth around STEAM both in her professional and personal endeavors. She also serves on the Board of the Rhinebeck Science Foundation, the Champions Board of the National Girls Collaborative Project and the Community Advisory Board of the Mid-Hudson Children’s Museum which is building a new science center campus.
